A Beginners Course in Colored Pencils
Learn basic colored pencil techniques, such as burnishing and ayering. We will apply those techniques to a simple colored pencil drawing that the class will completed together. The second Saturday you will complete a colored pencil drawing of your choice. Select from the instructor's reference materials or you can bring your own reference material.

Secrets to Drawing Realistic Animals
In this workshop you will learn to draw proportionally correct animals, and learn to incorporate movement, expression, and texture into your drawing. You will complete basic exercises during this workshop, along with a completed drawing of an animal of your choice.

Southport Artistry Committee Summer Session 2012
Drawing and More
Drawing and More is a course for children ages 8-12 who would like to learn about the basics of drawing. Line, color, shape, perspective, and composition will be explored. At the beginning of the course, each student will receive their own 'beginning drawing packet' which will include a drawing pad, professional drawing pencils, erasers and more. Sketchbook activities will enrich each week's lesson.
June 11th - July 16th

$60 for non-residents $50 for residents
